The Falling Doves
After riding high on 2025’s brooding, cinematic Darker Side of Blue, The Falling Doves return with something deeper, darker, and far more deliberate. After a triumphant decade of global touring and an ever-growing international following, The Falling Doves enter 2026 with sharpened focus and undeniable momentum.

2020.
The world went quiet. Streets emptied. Doors closed.
During lockdown, The Falling Doves found themselves confined to a temporary refuge overlooking Sefton Park in Liverpool. Days blurred together. Nights stretched long. With nowhere to go and nothing moving except thought, the songs began to take shape.
Sneaking out into the night, the band rehearsed in an old warehouse at the abandoned docks of Liverpool. In the dark, surrounded by rust, water, and silence, the songs were shaped—loud enough to feel alive, quiet enough not to be heard. What was meant to be a pause became the beginning.
2020–2021.
When restrictions allowed, the band carried those songs to Motor Studios in Liverpool, recording under the weight of the moment. The sessions were raw and focused. Early demos began to circulate, drawing attention from several independent labels.
It was through a development deal with Sony that the next door opened. On the strength of those Motor Studios demos, the label teamed the band up with producer Chris Bolster and opened the doors of Abbey Road Studios.
2021–2022.
Working with Chris Bolster—whose credits include Oasis, Ozzy Osbourne, Paul McCartney, The Beatles, Coldplay, Placebo, Travis, and The Killers—the album took its final shape. What began in isolation was refined with precision, depth, and intention.
2023–2024.
The album was finished and named 37 Aigburth Drive—a quiet nod to place, memory, and the time it took to get here. Rather than rush its release, the band chose patience, allowing the music to age while the world found its footing again.
2026.
Five years after those first lockdown nights, The Falling Doves will release 37 Aigburth Drive worldwide on March 31, 2026. To mark the moment, the band will perform a small number of intimate pop-up shows across the globe. No full tour has been scheduled.
Some records are born in studios.
This one was born in stillness, darkness, and belief.

“This new chapter is charged not just with experience, but mastery — of the studio, the road, the stage, and songwriting,” says frontman Christopher Leyva.
If Darker Side of Blue pushed outward, this record digs inward — and returns louder.

“This year isn’t about how many shows we play — it’s about how meaningful they are. We wanted to choose rooms and cities that have really been part of our journey and create nights that feel personal, electric, and unforgettable. After so many years of support, this feels like the right way to say thank you — to get closer to the audience again and share this new chapter together.”
“We’ve been incredibly lucky to build this with people who’ve believed in us for years. For 2026, we wanted to slow things down a little and focus on connection — smaller runs, bigger moments, and shows that feel honest and human. It’s our way of giving something back.”
“There’s something powerful about choosing intention over scale. We’re playing fewer shows, but with more purpose — in places that mean something to us and to the fans who’ve carried us this far. These nights are going to feel special.”
ABOUT THE SHOWS
“Sometimes when tours move fast, the production side can suffer — things become about logistics instead of experience. This year we wanted to do the opposite. We’re focusing on technical precision, sound, and musical depth so the shows really represent everything we’ve built over the last 10 years. It’s a more diverse concert — visually, sonically, and emotionally — and people are going to see sides of this band they haven’t seen before.”
THE MUSIC
“At the heart of everything this year is the song and the composition. We wanted to create a show where the music really has space to breathe — where people can hear the detail, the lyrics, and the emotion in a deeper way. That means audiences are going to see us in ways they haven’t before, from stripped-down acoustic moments to piano ballads, alongside the full electric energy. It’s about showing the range of who we are as musicians and putting the focus back on the craft. When the songs lead, everything else becomes more powerful.”
